Head Lice cures are a dime a dozen

I wanted to touch base on the dangers of trying odd remedies and on line cures for head lice. There seem to be hundreds of them on line. Many companies claim to have the next ten minute cure for head lice. There are also some odd remedies that people post swearing that this concoction has cured their lice. Please be aware that what you put on your child's head is directly absorbed into the blood stream and you have to be aware of allergies and other issues like mucus membrane and eye contact. It is always best to speak with your doctor first or call on a reputable company that specializes in head lice. What may work for some may be dangerous for others. You also must follow the directions for use and not over use or abuse the remedy or treatment in an effort to be lice free. Leaving treatments on longer than advised, using more than recommended or overusing is not going to make the treatment work any better. When all else fails get your hands on a good lice comb and manually remove all the lice and their eggs. If this seems like too much of a task, there are companies available to do this work for you. Be a wise consumer and do your homework. Head lice can be beaten safely and quickly and without the use of harsh chemicals or pesticides.
